1. How to Clean the Mainstream and Sidestream ETCO2 Sensor?

Use a cloth dampended with isoproply alcohol 70%, a 10% aqueous soltuion of sodium hypchlorite (Bleach), disinfectant
spary cleaner such as Steris Coverage Spray HB, ammonia, or mild soap. Wipe down with a clean water-dapmened cloth
to rinse and dry before use. Make certain that sensor windows are clean and dry before reuse.

2.1 Mainstream ETCO2 Sensor

2.1.1 Mainstream ETCO2 Sensor's Airway Adapter

a. It is designed for long term use.

b. Keep it clean and dry.

2.2 Sidestream ETCO2 Sensor

2.2.1 Sidestream ETCO2 Sensor's Airway Adapter

a. If use together with the gas dryer line, it can work for 300 hours.

b. If the sidestream airway adapter works by itself, it can only work 12 hours.

c. If you do not replace it regularly, the ETCO2 sensor maybe broken due to the water steam enter into it.

2.2.2 Gas Sample Line

a. It can work for 3 months.

b. But you should replace it with a new one timely, when there is water droplets, pollutants or damage inside the tube.

2.2.3 Nasal Sample Line

a. Disposable one, can use only one time on one patient.

2.2.4 CO2 Gas Dryer Line

a. It can work for 1 year theoretically. (Normally using 12 hour per day)

b. But you should replace it with a new one timely, when there is water droplets, pollutants or damage inside the tube.

2.2.5 T-fitting Tube

a. It can work for 1 year.

b. But you should replace it with a new one timely, when there is water droplets, pollutants or damage inside the tube.
