Maintenance of Patient monitors
The patient monitor can monitor the ECG, blood pressure, respiration, body temperature and other parameters of patients synchronously and continuously, which provides a good means for medical staff to comprehensively, intuitively and timely grasp the patient's condition. With the gradual modernization of the hospital, more monitors will enter the clinic and become the most commonly used medical equipment in the ward. Therefore, it is particularly important to do a good job in the maintenance and repair of the monitor. Only do a good job in the maintenance and repair Maintenance work can ensure that the monitor has a good working state; At the same time, it can reduce the failure rate and prolong the service life of various sensors, components and complete machines, to reduce the treatment cost of the hospital. Summing up the previous work experience, the maintenance of the monitor mainly includes the following aspects:
The patient monitor usually works continuously for a long time, which is easy to cause premature aging and even damage of internal components due to too high temperature in the machine. Therefore, we should clean the inside and outside of the machine to ensure good heat dissipation and ventilation. Check the filter screen on the host in a few months to clean the dust. At the same time, check the surface of the operation panel and display, and remove the dirt with anhydrous alcohol to avoid corrosion of these important parts. Every six months to one year, the machine shell shall be disassembled to remove dust in the machine. While dedusting, visual methods such as "seeing, smelling and touching" can be used to check all modules and components in the machine.
Maintenance and repair of the sensor: due to the characteristics of the sensor itself and the frequent activity of the detected patient part, it is not only an easily damaged part, but also an important and expensive part. To extend their service life and reduce treatment costs, we should do a good job in their maintenance. Often communicate with medical staff to guide them to correctly operate and maintain monitors and sensors. Do not fold or drag the sensor transmission wire. Do not drop or touch the probe of the sensor, such as blood oxygen saturation probe, temperature probe, invasive blood pressure probe, etc.
For the cuff of noninvasive blood pressure, when it is not tied on the patient, the host cannot measure it at this time, so as not to damage the inflated airbag. When the monitor needs to monitor for a long time without monitoring blood oxygen saturation, this function can be turned off by adjusting the system configuration. If the machine has this setting or unplugs the interface between blood oxygen saturation and the host, the monitor generally connects each sensor through the interface, to prolong the service life of this sensor. The sensor probe is easy to be contaminated with sweat, blood and other dirt. To avoid corroding the probe and affecting the measurement, the probe should be cleaned regularly according to the methods provided in the user's manual.
